Dierks Bentley Concert

One of the things I love the most about summer is going to outdoor country concerts. Dierks Bentley finally brought his show to Salt Lake and me and my country gal pals could not wait to see him headline a show! We had seen Dierks play up at Deer Valley 2 years ago but that was more of a teaser, it wasn't anywhere near the experience he brings during one of his tour shows.

We got to Usana nice and early since we had General Admission Pit tickets and we wanted to make sure to get as close to the stage as possible, we got second row which was pretty awesome! We were close enough to shake hands with all the artists.

Dierks brought 3 opening acts along with him and first up was the adorable and endearing Tucker Beathard

Amazing "seats"!

Cam was up next. Admittedly, I didn't know much about her, I had heard one of her songs on the radio but that was about the extent of my knowledge on her. After tonight's show I walked away a big fan of hers! She is so adorable! Tonight's show was her last of the tour, she needed to get home to get married! So adorable!

I was obsessed with her tights, they had glistening rhinestones all over them. Major *heart eyes*

The last opener was Randy Houser. We saw him last year when he opened for Luke, Lu and I saw him two nights in a row.  Our favorite parts of a Randy Houser show are his high, hilarious giggle and how he it constantly twirling around his black sweat towel, they are just so Randy.

There was a bit of excitement during Randy's segment, a fight broke out in the crowd, not that far away from us and Randy broke it up by talking to them from the stage, way to go Randy!

Finally, after what seemed like hours, probably cause it had been hours, it was time for DIERKS!!

Dierks is absolutely amazing live and he puts on a fantastic show. He has an amazing stage set up and loves to interact with his fans. He even had a stage set up in front of the grass seats and played about three songs from the middle of the crowd.

"Its just an old beat up box
It's rusty strings across the top
It probably don’t look like much to you
But these dents and scratches in the wood
Yea that’s what makes it sound so good"
He always hold his guitar up at this part of the song and it's adorable

During Somewhere On a Beach, Dierks jumped into the crowd to crowd surf, sadly the dum dums in that section didn't catch him!! It was embarrassing for the whole state of Utah, hopefully Dierks won't hold it against us....

For his encore, he came out in a Riser Air plane dressed as Captain Johnson for his performance of Drunk on a plane.

And all three of his openers and their bands came out for a party on stage and to finish out the set with Dierks.

I have to say, out of all the shows I have been to, I think this one earned the number one spot, it was so much fun!
